806. WASHINGTON, DC

Where: Washington, DC
When: Lots of times
With: Lots of people

DC. I first went on the obligatory northeast school field trip when I was in middle school. Since then, as my sister lives there, I have made many trips back. In honor of another trip to visit last weekend, I'll be kicking off my posts on the DC area in the coming weeks. As with a lot of big cities, the Book lists the city as one item, and then has subsets for individual things to do (see below).

While I don't think I could live in "the swamp" as I have zero interest in politics and the heat may actually kill me, I do enjoy going and still get a thrill every time I see the monuments and history that surrounds this 51st state.
