What: Hôtel de Crillon, Paris, France
When: November 5th, 2011
Who: Dave
Since this was listed as its own entry in the old book, we had to see check it off the list. Since it is about EUR 600 a night, we decided that it was sufficient to just have a drink.
Built in 1758, the Hôtel was a private residence where Marie Antoinette used to hang out back in her day. It also served as Hitler's headquarters when the Germans invaded Paris during World War II.

The entry hall was stunning. I tried to limit my pictures to attempt to "blend" and look like I belong as one of the guests, but here are a few I was able to sneak.
We just had a glass of wine each. As it was red wine, I needed to hide my purple teeth from the camera.
The hotel was beautiful, very fancy and lots of history. Glad we did it, but not a must. Click here to go back to the rest our trip.
