Walking Tour of London

On day 3 of Dad and Debbie's visit to London, we met up with his cousin, Tommy, and his wife, Maryanne to do a bit of a walking tour around the city. I was busy tour guiding to the fullest of my ability, so didn't get a ton of photos.

We started at the London Bridge tube station and walked along the south bank of the river towards center city. Once we hit the millenium bridge, we crossed over towards St. Paul's.

 The view of the Thames.

At St Paul's:

We walked back towards Westminster Abbey, and obviously you can't pass by Big Ben without a picture of him.

We spent a couple hours touring Westminster Abbey. It is so cool in there (couldn't take photos!) because so many famous British people are buried in there: Charles Dickens, Laurence Olivier, Queen Elizabeth I, Geoffrey Chaucer.

After Westminster Abbey, we walked a little longer towards Buckingham Palace. We took the route through St. James' Park, where you can see the palace overlooking the lake.

Unfortunately, my tour ended at the gates. So we hung out here for a bit mulling about how the guards can stand still for so long, then we all headed home.
