Where: London, England
When: September 27, 2011
With: Dave
Our flat has an awesome location, right between two of London's biggest parks: Regents and Hyde. LBS is located right across the street from Regents Park, and while waiting for Dave to get out of class, I decided to do some exploring in Regent's since I'd never been there before.

This is from the entrance on the southwest side, Clarence Gate:
I crossed over the Clarence Bridge towards the center of the park.
I found this bandshell surrounded by lawn chairs. Sadly, these are not for free, but honestly, I have no idea who would stop you from sitting there.
The view of the boating lake from under a weeping willow:
Now for the wildlife portion of my photo shoot. These ducks were completely still staring...it was the first time I've ever actually seen ducks...in a row...
Next up, an egret...I think? Really not a bird watcher.
After this, I went to pick up my student from school. While standing around waiting for the Rooommate to meet up, I took some pictures of the funny things that are normal to traffic in London, some nice architecture in the neighborhood, and Dave in his school uniform.

When: May 27, 2012
With: Coworkers
On a beautiful spring day while my old coworker was visiting from the US, and we decided an outdoor activity was necessary. We decided to explore Regent's Park, and since my last visit didn't get me very far into the park, this would be perfect.
We headed straight for the gardens, hoping some flowers were in bloom. We lucked out with some, but not as many as we'd pictured.

A rare breeze on a very hot day.
This pond was so weird. It looks like a putting green. We spent 5 minutes trying to find something to throw in to prove it was in fact a pond - it just didn't move or ripple or anything. Finally, some other girls who were clearly wondering the same thing as us found a rock and threw it in. The moss parted, swallowed the stone, then closed back up. There was no ripple and the water remained completely still. It was so weird.
Even without all the flowers in bloom, Regent's Park is still really pretty
