Three years ago, two crazy kids got dressed up in Halloween costumes and ran around NYC looking for a Halloween pub crawl that didn't end up existing. They wandered the city, alone in their costumes, but did so proudly, and thus, their relationship began.
Now, here we are, three years later, still dressing like fools when no one else really is. Glad to see nothing has changed. However, this time was Halloween in London.
We ended up dressing like a watermelon and a peanut. Apparently the last minute costume selection in London is reallllyyy slim pickin'. The BIG difference here is that sadly, London doesn't share New York's fervor for dressing up in ridiculous costumes.
We planned to go to a big LBS Halloween party in Piccadilly. When we walked into the Circus though, much to our dismay, we found ourselves alone in dress-up. How completely unfun!! This was much different than the Union Square Halloween spectacle last year where hundreds of people were piled into the streets and you were lucky if you could find somebody NOT dressed up.
We got to the bar holding the party, but it was completely packed and spilling out onto the streets! As we did not feel up to pushing our way through a crowded night club, we decided to head back home and instead, celebrate our anniversary weekend dressed in costume, watching episodes of Modern Family, and drinking wine. I inevitably fell asleep and was too lazy to remove the costume, which proved to be toasty and warm. This is what Dave woke up to the next day:
As for the anniversary the next day, Dave did a fantastic job of having a Halloween bouquet of flowers made up. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone this, but he picked out all the flowers himself. He did such a good job, I had to give him a shout out...nyawwww. He was especially proud of the one the big red/yellow one on the right.
