More Sevenoaks and Joey's 6 month birthday

It's amazing it's already been five months since we got here. And even more shocking is that we haven't seen our friends Barry and Colette since the first week I was here. Actually, I didn't even see Barry, and Dave hadn't seen anyone. This needed to change, so Dave and I hopped the train out to Sevenoaks for another visit with our favorite British couple and their little one.

Joey is already 6 months. It's crazy how time flies. To celebrate the half birthday, Barry donned the baby bjorn, and we went for stroll through Sevenoaks. After a quick tour of the town, we entered Knole Park. This park was so beautiful - there are wild deer running around everywhere, so many that they don't even flinch when they see humans. So many that there are signs posted as to how best to avoid deer attacks...at least I think that's what this sign is saying. Thankfully, Barry, Colette and Joey were on hand to demonstrate.

In keeping with British tradition, our Sunday afternoon included a nice roast. Joey was such a trooper, he slept through the first half of the meal, then politely allowed me to take pictures of him the second half...even though he appears not to have liked it.

Dad entertained son by demonstrating Joey's workout regimen - regular kicks to stretch the hamstrings and work on Joey's flexibility for a future football career.

On the car ride home, I decided to take some shots of Joey sporting the Philly's hat that Dave and I got for him. Colette did a fantastic job of entertaining my subject for some good shots.

Back at home, we got to witness some of the finest father/son bonding time there is: watching the Arsenal game. Dad quickly recovered from Arsenal's loss to ensure Joey continued to be entertained.

This is the look Joey kept giving Dave. Dave believes Joey was staring directly into his soul and was probably mildly judging him.

Joey was pretty knackered after all the football training and watching, so it was time to lay him out on his play blanket for some mental stimulation.

Next up for the little man was by far my favorite contraption of the night - the Tigger bouncer. This provided me with an excellent setting for his final photo shoot of the evening.

Here is the little man, chillin in his bouncer.

A lovely day in Sevenoaks, yet again. Hopefully, we get out there again before Joey's first birthday.
